How to break in a Carhartt Coat?
Q. I got a Carhartt jacket a while back. I hate wearing it because its so stiff. Washed it without drying it like 8 times. There's gotta be a way to make it softer, not like its made of cardboard. Anybody got any ideas? I dont care about the look, just dont want to deal with the pain in the ass of breakin it in myself.

How to get the shine out of a new carhartt?
Q. i just bought a new BLACK carhartt jacket and it is very shiny in the sun. do you have any tips on how to get the shine out of it. it has a 100% cotton shell and 100% polyester lining. also, what is the best, fastest, and easiest way to break in a new carhartt. it is still pretty stiff. Thanks.

A. Your answer to both questions is wash it with a little vinegar in the rinse water be careful...warm water is fine but do not throw it in the dryer unless its too big for you. The vinegar will help the" black" from fading but it should take out the shine. The wash itself will help the stiffness. My brother is a cowboy and he wears his all the time. When he isn't wearing it he literally sits on his new ones (in his truck.) Its just like wearing it,and wearing them is best way to break them in.

Does anyone know a company that's like Carhartt, but with a touch of hippy?
Q. I found them online a while back and can't seem to find them again. I seem to recall them having the word 'tree' or 'green' or something similar in the company title.
